By Vaughn McClure, 6:50 p.m. With their second-round pick -- No. 44 overall -- the Bears selected running back Matt Forte from Tulane. He is a 6-foot-1, 217 pound back with 4.47 speed in the 40 yard dash. Picking Forte makes sense for the Bears, who wanted to bring in competition for Cedric Benson. With Benson slowly recovering from a broken leg, Forte might work his way into serious playing time. The question is, what happens to Garrett Wolfe? The Bears picked left tackle Chris Williams with their first pick -- No. 14 overall.
